Why call? It's the law! It's free. It prevents harm to you and those around you, and it helps avoid disruption to power lines, electricity and utility service in your area. Wisconsin Statute 182.0175 requires all excavators, including homeowners and construction contractors, to contact Diggers Hotline at least three working days before starting any excavation project.

Online Energy Audit

The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) recently performed a study of several websites that host online energy audits. The study found all sites to be useful, but crowned a program called Home Energy Saver the winner. When the study was reviewed by Polk-Burnett's own energy experts, we found the same program to be most beneficial to our customers.
