1,000 Hour Apprentice Lineman

Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative is currently seeking a 1,000 Hour Apprentice Lineman to join our team. This position will support our operations department by assisting in the construction, maintenance, and operation of our electric distribution system. All tasks will be performed in accordance with the candidate's level of education and experience to ensure safety at all times. This is a temporary 1,000-hour position.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an electrical power distribution training program is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently using sound judgment.
  • Valid CDL is required.
  • Proficient climbing skills and a comprehensive understanding of electricity theory and principles.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and flexibility with working hours and days.
  • Ability to perform duties in challenging terrain.

Location: This position will report to either the Siren or Centuria office facilities as needed.
